IMG Phuoc Dong Formally Welcomes Former President Truong Tan Sang

In a cordial and open atmosphere, representatives of IMG introduced the formation and development history of the industrial park, as well as the strategic role of Phuoc Dong in the broader industrial and logistics development strategy of the Southwestern region of Vietnam. Currently, Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park has attracted numerous manufacturing enterprises and a substantial workforce, contributing significantly to the economic growth of Tay Ninh Province. Alongside industrial expansion, the demand for social infrastructure such as housing, education, and urban services has become increasingly critical.

Introduction to the Master Planning of Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park

Following the welcome ceremony, the delegation was invited to review the master planning model of Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park at the lobby of the administration building. Through the planning model, IMG representatives introduced the development strategy aimed at building a comprehensive industrial – urban – service ecosystem, including:

• Industrial production zones

• Logistics and inland port facilities

• Worker housing areas

• Residential areas for experts and managers

• Urban service and amenity zones

This development orientation seeks to create a sustainable living and working environment for both enterprises and the workforce in the Phuoc Dong – Tan Lan area. Within this integrated development framework, investment in education infrastructure is considered a key pillar in building a stable and long-term community.

Proposal to Develop IMG Tan Lan High School to Serve the Industrial Community

During the official meeting, IMG Chairman Le Tu Minh presented to Former President Truong Tan Sang the proposal to build IMG Tan Lan High School in Tan Lan Commune, Tay Ninh Province. According to IMG’s development orientation, the project is intended to:

• Provide educational opportunities for children of workers employed in the industrial park

• Serve students and residents of Tan Lan and neighboring communities

• Contribute to completing the social infrastructure ecosystem of Phuoc Dong Industrial Park

The school is planned to be developed in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training, while ensuring architectural design suitable for the climatic conditions of Southern Vietnam. Key components of the proposed school include:

• Modern classroom facilities

• Flag ceremony courtyard and student activity spaces

• Digital library supporting online learning

• Sports facilities and extracurricular activity areas

• Teacher housing and academic support facilities

Under the proposed model, each class is expected to accommodate approximately 40 students, while promoting reading culture, self-learning, and research through classroom libraries and digital learning resources. Notably, IMG proposes that once construction is completed, the school will be handed over to local authorities for management, while the company seeks permission to name the school as IMG Tan Lan High School in recognition of its contribution to the community.

Guidance and Remarks from Former President Truong Tan Sang

Speaking at the meeting, Former President Truong Tan Sang expressed his appreciation for IMG’s commitment to supporting local education development, particularly as the Phuoc Dong area continues to experience strong industrial growth. He emphasized that the development of educational infrastructure should strictly follow legal procedures, planning regulations, and investment approval processes, while ensuring that the school’s design aligns with local climate conditions and the practical needs of the community.

Additionally, he advised the company to work closely with the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee and relevant government agencies to ensure that the project is implemented efficiently and in accordance with regulatory frameworks. The insights and recommendations from the Former President are regarded as important guidance for IMG in refining its project documentation and implementation strategy.

Field Survey of the Proposed School Development Site

Following the meeting, the delegation and IMG leadership conducted a field survey of the proposed site for IMG Tan Lan High School in Tan Lan Commune. The site visit provided the delegation with a direct assessment of the land location, surrounding transportation infrastructure, and connectivity with nearby industrial and residential areas.

In the long-term development vision, IMG Tan Lan High School is expected to become a key educational facility in the region, contributing to the improvement of human resource quality and creating better learning opportunities for the younger generation in the Phuoc Dong – Tan Lan area.

Toward a Sustainable Industrial – Urban – Education Ecosystem

The working session between IMG and Former President Truong Tan Sang not only addressed a specific education project but also highlighted a long-term development vision for the Phuoc Dong area. According to IMG’s strategy, the region will be developed following an integrated industrial – urban – education – service model, establishing a strong foundation for a sustainable and well-balanced community.

Once implemented, IMG Tan Lan High School is expected to become a flagship educational project, contributing to the completion of the social infrastructure ecosystem and promoting the comprehensive development of the Phuoc Dong – Tan Lan region in the years ahead.
