On December 12, the Phuoc Dong Industrial Park and Port project excellently surpassed many other projects to be honored with the Silver Award at the 2nd National Urban Planning Award Ceremony 2020.

The National Urban Planning Award (VUPA) ceremony is held by the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association (VUPDA) every two years with the consent and support of the Prime Minister, and with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI).
The award aims to honor organizations, businesses and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the planning and development of urban and rural areas in Vietnam, as well as strengthen the position and role of urban planning, development management

Outstandingly surpassing many other projects, Phuoc Dong Industrial Park & Pork won the Silver award of the program

Entries for VUPA 2020 were selected and judged according to 5 categories, including: Category A for Construction Planning Projects, Category B for Areas that have been built, and Category C. for Publications on planning, category D for Organizations and individuals engaged in urban development management, outstanding rural residential spots, and category E for Urban Environmental Quality.

To receive the award, works need to show originality in creative ideas; scientific and practical; well exploit the topography, landscape, climate, historical - cultural - social characteristics; save resources; have an appropriate strategy for development of architectural space, landscape, and infrastructure system; ensure human living environment; develop urban areas, rural residential areas in the direction of sustainable - green - smart and adapt to climate change.

Notably, this year is the first time that a project in Long An province participated and won the award in the category of areas that have been invested and built, which is Phuoc Dong Industrial Park & Pork. In order to win this silver award, in addition to the above criteria, Phuoc Dong Industrial Park & Pork must also meet the requirements of infrastructure investment and construction completed according to the planning, ensuring the quality of use, and is satisfied and appreciated by the urban government and local communities.
